About Olalekan Olafusi

Born 1990, Lagos, Nigeria, Olalekan Olafusi  is an award winning visual storyteller who uses creative cinematic elements to put together truthful storylines. His use of various techniques to tell compelling stories has helped bring cultures and societal values ignored or long forgotten to fore.

His works are described as a body of imaginative instruments channelled to change the narrative on core societal issues. He relentlessly unearths issues, values and cultures that hold the society together especially those that threaten to pull it apart.

He's worked for International media outlets and organisations including BBC Africa, NiHU, McKinsey & Company, THOP, S.M.I.L.E NGO, PSN Africa, GirlsAide, Brila Media, Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative, The Destiny Trust, etc. He is a member of the African Photojournalism Database and The ForbesBLK community.
